How did we get our start?
Sea Turtle was founded by a family in Cypress, California. As parents, we found our children destroyed toothbrushes in a days! We knew there had to be a better way. Our journey lead us to create the Sea Turtle Bamboo Toothbrush.
What makes our products unique?
Bristles made from castor oil makes Sea Turtle Toothbrushes unique. The properties of the bristles are sturdy for daily use while maintaining bio-based properties.
Why do we love what we do?
With your support, we’ve reduce plastic consumption and reforest our earth. Together, we can make our planet a better place.

Sea Turtle Plant-Based Bristles Bamboo Toothbrushes are soft, natural kids’ toothbrushes designed to make oral care gentle on children and kinder to the planet at the same time. Each 4-pack features sustainably sourced bamboo handles and plant-based bristles, offering an eco-conscious alternative to plastic brushes without sacrificing comfort or cleaning performance.
Eco-friendly kids’ toothbrush set
These toothbrushes are crafted specifically for children, with smaller heads and child-friendly proportions that make it easier for little hands to hold and control the brush during daily use. The 4-pack format ensures each child in the family can have their own brush, or parents can keep extras on hand for travel and replacements every few months as dentists recommend.
Plant-based, soft bristles
The bristles are made from a plant-based material derived from castor beans, classified as a bio-based polymer (Nylon 1010) that offers strength and flexibility while reducing reliance on petroleum-based plastics. These soft bristles are gentle on developing gums and enamel, providing effective plaque removal without being too abrasive for sensitive young mouths. When softened in warm water before brushing, they create a comfortable brushing experience that encourages kids to stick with their routine.
Smooth bamboo handles designed for children
Each toothbrush handle is made from heat-treated bamboo, which improves water resistance, minimizes splinter risk, and creates a smooth surface that feels pleasant to hold. The bamboo is sourced from responsibly managed forests and is FSC® certified, meaning it meets strict standards for sustainable forestry and fair working conditions. Kid-oriented details, such as compact handle shaping and food-grade inks for any printed designs, help keep the brushes both fun and safe for curious children who may occasionally chew or bite on the handle.
Sustainability and social impact
Sea Turtle emphasizes sustainability not only through materials but also through its mission and donations program. According to product information, 100% of the profits from these toothbrushes go toward planting trees in the USA and supporting unhoused children worldwide, ensuring that each purchase contributes directly to environmental restoration and social good. This combination of eco-friendly materials and charitable impact turns a simple daily item into a small but meaningful way for families to support a healthier planet and vulnerable communities.
Simple care, long-lasting performance
To use, children should wet the toothbrush to slightly soften the bristles, apply a pea-sized amount of toothpaste (or the amount recommended for their age), and brush gently in small circular motions over all tooth surfaces and along the gumline. After brushing, the toothbrush should be thoroughly rinsed and stored upright in a dry, ventilated area so the bamboo can dry fully and remain in good condition. With proper care, each brush can last the typical three months of daily use before being replaced, just like conventional toothbrushes.
End-of-life and disposal
When it is time to replace the toothbrush, the bristles can be removed (usually by snapping or cutting off the head), and the bamboo handle can be composted or placed in green waste in areas where that is available. Unlike plastic toothbrushes that can linger in landfills for decades, the bamboo handle is biodegradable, helping to reduce long-term plastic waste from everyday oral care routines.
